Welcome to the May 2007 Academy of Visual and Performing Arts Spotlight newsletter.

--Upcoming events including the music department's MY Generation concert, a Butoh Performance, and Java Drama 13 - our annual celebration highlighting all of our students from all departments.

--AVPA's fundraiser - the Stussy parking lot sale

--Student accomplishments - a poetry prize, prizes at a theater festival, and this year's Sister Cities entrant

--Recaps of several events from last month, including SWARM, our film shoot, Dance OFF! VI and the UCLA ArtsBridge program

--Two of our faculty members getting some well-deserved recognition

 

In addition, we have a parent volunteer featured in our In The Spotlight column, news from our alums and general announcements, including a list of positions we still need volunteers to fill. And of course, the photo gallery from April.
